A total of 400 patients were studied under controlled trial, all suffering from Autism. None of these children had any motor issue. (Group A) 50 children were 3 to 5 yrs old, (Group B) 50 children were 6 to 8 yrs old, (Group C) 50 children were 8 to 10 yrs old, (Group C) 50 children were 10 to 12 yrs old, (Group D) 100 children were 12 to 15 yrs old and (Group E) 150 children were above 15 yrs. All of these groups were transfused with 20 million Neural stem cells which were modified from hemopoeitic umbilical cord stem cells. IV Methylprednisone was used as post stem cell booster in a dose of 100 mg iv for 3 days for groups A, B and C. For Groups D and E 250 mg iv for 3 days was used. Same dose of Methylprednisone was repeated every 30 days till 6 months. All children of groups A, B and C showed improvement in cognition from post week 1 onwards. Group D and E children started betterment in cognition from post week 3 onwards. Till 6 months post stem cell maximum betterment in cognitive and behavioral issues was seen in Group A and B. Group C and D showed a little lesser improvement comparatively. Group E showed little improvements.
